Opioid Treatment Program

8909490-standardNOLA Doc provides an outpatient treatment program with the utmost privacy and confidentiality. Opioid dependence is all too common and if left untreated, can destroy the lives of patients and their loved ones.  Our program offers unparalleled service outside of a treatment clinic, doctor’s office or emergency department.  We come to you.  Our outpatient treatment program is designed for high functioning individuals who are motivated to get off of opiates such as Norco, Vicodin, Percocet, Oxycontin and Heroin.  For a majority of patients, the need for inpatient drug treatment or daily visits to a methadone clinic are a thing of the past.

Beyond the era of Methadone, alternative long acting opioids are now used with great success. Suboxone treatment  allows for guided rehabilitation and reintegration into a more health centered daily routine.  NOLA Doc’s opioid treatment program begins with an initial, in depth consultation and is immediately followed by a plan of care. Treatment with a long acting opioid is initiated for most patients and follow up visits occur on a regular basis for the duration of the program.  In addition to medication, much emphasis is placed on nutritional counseling, social support networks and lifestyle modification as patients wean from Suboxone and begin a life completely free of opiates.

Dr. Berenson is trained and certified by the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and licensed by the DEA to safely prescribe Suboxone and other long acting opioid medication.  He has years of experience in pain management and the treatment of opiate addiction.
