NOLA Doc provides concierge medical services for acute needs throughout the greater New Orleans area: Uptown, Downtown, French Quarter, CBD, Marigny, Bywater, Lakeview, Metairie and more. When you think you may need to go to urgent care or the Emergency Department, think about calling NOLA Doc. Our mission is to keep our patients out of the ER unless they belong there.
Many medical conditions that land patients in the emergency department are treated with IV Therapy. These treatments allow for rapid rehydration and symptomatic relief for conditions such as gastrointestinal illness, vomiting, diarrhea, food poisoning, stomach flu and influenza as well as respiratory illnesses such as bronchitis and pneumonia. IV fluids are beneficial to those suffering from general dehydration, jet lag, exhaustion or a hangover. IV vitamins such as Vitamin C and B Complex are available, as well as Magnesium which is one of the most vital minerals for our body, mind, muscles and metabolism. For those who want the very best, we also have IV Glutathione which is the most powerful antioxidant. IV medication is administered as needed to relieve nausea and/or acute pain. IV treatments typically take 45-90 minutes and, in most cases, provide instant relief from acute, debilitating symptoms all the while maintaining focus on patient’s comfort.
Injuries happen anywhere and anytime. Be it a cut while working in the kitchen or the garden, a sprain or fracture while on the playground or the ball field, most injuries can be addressed onsite without the need for a visit to the emergency department or urgent care clinic. We’ll send a mobile doctor to anesthetize, irrigate, clean and repair your wound quickly and comfortably. Complex wounds involving tendons, ligaments or other deep structures are temporarily repaired with referral to specialty care as needed. Sprains are splinted and broken bones set to allow for stabilization and pain reduction. Suspected fractures are splinted, X-rayed onsite and referred to Orthopedics. For all injuries, our mobile doctor will provide medicine as needed for acute pain relief.
Illness often occurs without warning. Acute pain from a hangover, headache, debilitating migraine or kidney stone may be treated successfully outside of the emergency department or urgent care. Our mobile doctor will provide oral medications and IV treatments that can reverse symptoms of acute illness within minutes. Vomiting, diarrhea, influenza, pneumonia and other infections leave people dehydrated and feeling generally unwell. IV fluids allow for rapid re-hydration and reversal of most symptoms. Medication is available for acute pain, nausea, allergic reaction, and infection as needed. Throughout the visit, patient comfort is the main focus while treatments are administered.
Upper Respiratory Infections (URIs) such as bronchitis, pneumonia, croup, strep throat, sinusitis, and ear infections are common annoyances that are often treated successfully outside of the hospital. Our mobile doctor will provide breathing treatments, pain medications, antibiotics, and steroids as needed. COPD (emphysema) is also a common condition that flares up and can become life threatening if not treated appropriately. Exacerbation of COPD can be treated with medication in a comfortable setting without the need for a visit to the emergency department or urgent care.
Skin Infections such as cellulitis and abscesses (boils, staph infections) can arise quickly and often cause a great deal of pain. Abscesses may be drained and antibiotics and pain medication, both IV and oral, are available when indicated.
Urinary Tract Infections (UTI, cystitis, bladder infection, kidney infection) are also common conditions that are successfully treated outside of the emergency department or urgent care. Our mobile physician will perform a urinalysis onsite and administer medication to relieve symptoms and help fight infection.
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) may be treated promptly and successfully with complete confidentiality.
